An interesting place that you should also try when you are in Bangkok is the boat ride along the historical canals of the city. The Bangkok canals, like that of Venice have been used as a means of transportation in the ancient times. Of course you can find these places on your own if you have to but the thing is, without a guide, it might take you longer to get to these places and since you are just visiting Bangkok for a few days or weeks at most, you might as well maximize you time by doing away with complications that will take up most of your time and you possible cost you a lot of money.
