Exploring the Floating Market of Bangkok

One of the most interesting places to visit when in Bangkok is the floating market. The floating market is located in a rather remote area in Samut Songkhran, about an hour's drive from the main thoroughfares of the City. For first time visitors, you may want to get a tour guide to help you get to this place to save you time and effort in trying to find your way. It always a good idea to have a guide when visiting Bangkok as the City is known for its maze like layout and foreigners could easily get lost in its streets. Getting lost and spending so much of your time in trying to figure out which way to go wont do you any good especially if you will be spending only a few days or a week in Bangkok. Time is so precious that if you waste your time getting lost, you will miss a lot of things on your visit.

Having a tour guide would make it easier and faster for you to go to places in Bangkok. If you want to visit the Floating Market of Bangkok, you should ask your guide to take you there and show you around. The floating market is a very unique place. The place is made up of small canals where small boats bearing goods traverse back and forth. Ladies selling their goods usually operate these boats and are always ready to peddle their wares to anybody who is interested. Price haggling is very common in this place so it would be very wise to have a guide who speaks the native language so he or she can communicate freely with the local folks.
